The devastating epidemic has presented humanity with many difficulties, which is why human solidarity is needed much more than ever before. In the spirit of this solidarity, we are announcing the Stage Award this year and launching a series of related programs.
Tímea Széchenyi
The Gróf Széchenyi Family Foundation and the Stadium Social and Cultural Newspaper established the Stadium Award at the end of 2018, which was announced for the third time this year for the Hungarian Primary and Secondary Schools’ students in the Carpathian Basin, to address national and Christian values.
The closing ceremony of the Stadium Award and the series of events related to the Széchenyi230 Memorial Year will take place on the 15th of November, in the Ceremonial Hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as one of the main sponsors of the Memorial Year.
The award, which symbolizes the spirituality of István Széchenyi, can be awarded in three categories for those who have carried out significant activities or achieved remarkable results in public life, science, art related to the spirituality of Széchenyi.
The award can be proposed by the students of primary and secondary schools providing Hungarian-language education in the Carpathian Basin.
This year due to the epidemiological difficulties, the schools are up to nominate candidates. Each school can nominate as many candidates as it can campaign for. Candidates should be promoted by students. The Széchenyi family publishes their related writings, short films, speeches and interviews on its website and on the online interface of Stadium Magazine.
The deadline for schools to register and nominate candidates is 15 September.
You can register on the website of the Széchenyi family.
The Stadium Camp will be held between 19 and 22 August 2021, hosted by the Transylvanian Church in Budapest, on the Island of Hope, and will include a Scientific Student Conference.
Stage Award votes can be cast electronically from the 21st of September to the 31st of October
